School Clusters
As you will know, there are now increasing numbers of funding streams that are delegated to schools on a cluster basis, for example the extended school deprivation funding, as well as the longstanding cluster budgets. In order to ensure effective governance and oversight of these resources, we have developed some model structures for cluster governance which will be discussed at the meeting of the Schools Forum on 8 July. When these have been discussed and agreed they will be circulated for discussion and adoption by governing bodies and clusters.
In order to clarify these arrangements we need to confirm the current composition of clusters for purpose of funding arrangements. While for almost all schools this is very clear, for some (for example with split catchment areas), there are connections with more than one cluster. In addition, recent school reorganisations may have changed the circumstances for some clusters and require a more radical review of local arrangements.
I would therefore be grateful if every school could check that it agrees with the high school cluster lists on the Norfolk Schools website – accessible through the SchoolFinder tool. If you think the listing is not correct, or needs further consideration please contact Janine Birt (01603 223905 or janine.birt@norfolk.gov.uk) as soon as possible to resolve the issue.
