Paul Adams, Director of Corporate Resources and Cultural Services,
Updates you on MRS
As you know the County Council has reached an impasse with National UNISON and it is looking increasing unlikely that we will reach a collective agreement on the MRS proposal any time soon.
Updates you on MRS
The attached message explains the decision reached by the Personnel Committee on 22 June for moving towards implementing the MRS proposal. Please take the time to read it as it will be important that you understand the process and the rationale behind the decision.
When employees receive the message it is important that:
they are not worried about some of the legal terminology used
they understand that action is now necessary to move forward with the MRS proposal
they know that more information and support will be provided on an ongoing basis
It will be important that you:
reassure employees that they will receive extensive information and support
encourage employees to remain patient as it is not possible to provide all information at this early stage
It is important that Headteachers ensure that all employees within the scope of MRS see a copy of this message on or soon after Monday 29 June. It is your responsibility to ensure that this information is disseminated.
Thank you very much for your support.
