Gifted & Talented Survey July 2009

In order to inform the further development of the county gifted and talented support and training programmes, we would be grateful if you would complete a very brief survey which can be found on the following link:

Can you please ensure that this survey is completed before 24 July 2009
Background
The 2005 White Paper, Higher Standards, Better Schools for All set out the Government's ambition that every pupil - including the gifted and talented should have the right to personalised support to reach their full potential. The 2007 Children's Plan built upon this and prioritised improving the identification of gifted and talented learners, especially those who are underachieving and/or who come from disadvantaged backgrounds. It also stated all schools should have access to a trained Leading Teacher for gifted and talented education. Courses for the development of gifted and talented leading teachers have been offered every term in addition to a variety of other courses, advice and support.
