Reminder to Schools Regarding Parent Partnership & SEN Strategy Update Newsletters
The agreed process for sending the Parent Partnership Newsletter and the SEN Strategy Update Newsletters to parents/carers of all children and young people with an Individual Education Plan (IEP) is via schools:
Schools inform Parent Partnership of the number of children on roll with an IEP Parent Partnership provides that amount of their newsletters, plus additional copies for staff and reception areas Schools distribute publication directly via children and young people to their home. (The SEN Strategy Update Newsletter is also distributed in this way.)
We have heard from some voluntary organisations representing parents/carers of children and young people with special educational needs recently that some parents/carers aren't receiving their copies.
We really want to make sure that this useful information is received by the parents/carers of all children and young people with an IEP. It includes information for parents and carers about changes taking place within schools and the authority, and enables them to understand what the changes mean, contact the right people with queries and concerns and hopefully reduce the number of enquiries schools may receive.
Please help us to ensure that you receive the correct amount of newsletters by emailing parent.partnership@norfolk.gov.uk about any changes or send back reply slips.
Please ensure that copies of these newsletters are sent home with every child or young person with an Individual Education Plan. Thank you.
