Fischer Family Trust Data Online for Key Stage 2 Pupils

Fischer Family Trust Data Online for Key Stage 2 Pupils

Background

The Fischer Family Trust (FFT) now provides all your school data online at www.FFTLive.org. Over the past few years we have provided you with school-level FFT reports via the KeyData page (More Info button) of the 'My School' website, and we have given you pupil-level estimates via AnyComms (AVCO) to support your target setting process. From this year, FFT are enabling each school to appoint a designated School Administrator (similar to RAISEonline) to be given an Admin password to FFTLive which will allow you to set up other users within the school.

Where to access

To access your username and initial password, please go to 'My School', select the 'School Performance' page from the left-hand menu, and find 'FFTLive for KS2 schools'. By clicking on the 'FFTLive for KS2 schools' link, you will be taken to a page providing your username, your initial password (both are case-sensitive) and some guidance notes.

Using FFTLive

When you log onto www.FFTLive.org for the first time, you will be prompted to change your password. Please keep your password secure at all times and don't share it with anyone, as it provides access to sensitive information.

The FFTLive website is self-explanatory and easy to use. Following are a few tips for getting started:
(a) The 'Help' button at the top of the page is very useful for finding out about the screen you are looking at.
(b) Use the Admin tool to edit the 'Forename' and 'Surname' of your account to your own name.
(c) You are recommended to set up a second school Administrator, as backup.
(d) When running a report to show pupil estimates, in order to see Type D (as recommended for target setting) you need to change 'Estimate Basis' from 'PA' (prior attainment only) to 'SE' (socio-economic, ie. similar schools). Then you will be able to select Estimate Rank '25 (Type D)'.

Using FFT Estimates to support target setting

Please note that The Fischer Family Trust does not provide targets, they provide estimates which should be used as a starting point to formulate individual pupil targets as follows:

Estimate + Teacher Knowledge = Prediction
Prediction + Challenge = TARGET

Recommendation

We recommend you begin to familiarise yourself with FFTLive data this year, as next year this is likely to be your main source of FFT data. As well as setting up user accounts for appropriate staff to see school and pupil data, you will be able to set up user-accounts for one or more Governors, limiting their access to school data only. Please be sure to cancel access for any user that leaves the school, or no longer needs access.

For this year, we will continue to provide school-level FFT reports in the 'More Info' area of the KeyData page on the 'My School' website, for the benefit of School Improvement Partners (SIPs).
