Pupil Movements with Provision/Statements Quantified with Less Than 20hrs Teaching Assistance (TA) Time

Under the transition arrangements for the new SEN funding scheme from September 2009, funding allocated for pupils prior to September 2009, currently attending your school, funding will remain under the old funding scheme until those pupils leave your school, their statement is requantified or they are in their phase transfer year.

However, pupils who leave your school or have left since 1st September 2009 to end of the Spring Term 2010, funding will not cease until the end of the Spring Term 2010, at which point the funding will be 'recycled' and revert from Pupil Specific Funding (PSF) and become School Specific Funding (SSF).

If a pupil with PSF quantified at less than 20hrs TA, has left or leaves your school at any point between September 09 and the beginning of the Summer Term 10, please call either Michaela Allison 01603 224021 or Steve Knowlton-Rayner 01603 224004. No funding will be removed for 2009/10 but this exercise is essential for the smooth and efficient transition from the old to the new funding scheme and accurate budgeting purposes for the forthcoming financial year.

Funding given for pupils in 2010/11 who left your school before the end of the Summer Term 2010 will be removed in full if this has been incorrectly allocated.

Please refer to the Guidance for the use of Pupil Specific Funding access via the new Norfolk SENCo webpage.
