Schools Emergency Contact and Keyholder Database
In the past we have maintained a confidential database of contact details of headteachers and other relevant school staff so that we can get in touch with you in the event of any emergencies or critical incidents at the evening, weekends, or in holiday periods. The previous "Boing" database is no longer being maintained for this purpose and we have therefore developed our own in-house system to ensure that we can provide rapid senior support to schools.
This database has now been added to Norfolk Schools website and we are asking schools if they would enter the contact details of keyholders and other relevant staff/governors. We suggest that you register at least four names to ensure that someone can be contacted at any time, including holiday periods, including the headteacher and caretaker/site manager and other senior staff or governors. Please note that the information will be password protected and only be accessible to specific people at the school and the senior Children's Services officers who receive emergency and Critical Incident calls.
We would be grateful if you would ensure that details are entered before the end of this term so that contact can be made over the Christmas period with a keyholder from any school that we need to contact in an emergency.
