Schools HR Handbook
Work has been taking place on a complete overhaul of the Schools HR Handbook (previously the Personnel Handbook) to bring it up-to-date and more user-friendly.
The stage has been reached where consultation is taking place with the recognised trade unions and professional associations leading to the publishing of new or revised sections. These new and revised sections are now becoming available for use in schools.
The aim is to change the structure of the Handbook so it closer fits the employee life cycle:
In time the new structure will appear on the Norfolk Schools website and the old handbook will be removed entirely. For the short-term, the old Handbook will remain available and the new and revised sections will appear in an Updated 2010 folder. Where old Handbook sections are replaced they will be removed from the old handbook and the new section will only be found in the Updated 2010 folder. This will avoid having both old and new versions of any section available at the same time. Once sufficient new or updated sections are available for the new structure to work, the old Handbook will be removed altogether.
The first new sections are now available. These are:
Further MI Sheets will be issued as new sections become available.
If you have any queries relating to the new and updated sections of the Schools HR Handbook, please do not hesitate to make contact with your allocated HR Consultant in the first instance.
