Management Information Sheet
Change of Occupational Health Provider
As you may be aware, Norfolk County Council is expected to obtain best value in the services it purchases and therefore retenders for occupational health services every 4 - 5 years. As a result of the latest retendering of occupational health services a new provider, ATOS Healthcare, will be taking over the service with effect from 1st April 2010.
In order to provide continuity of service, all occupational health records held by the current provider, Norfolk & Norwich University Hospital Trust, will be transferred to the new provider. Before the transfer can take place, employees need to be advised. If they have an objection to their occupational health record being transferred, they need to lodge the objection before 24th March. In order to ensure employees have this oppotunity, could you please forward the attached letter to the employees you manage. Any employees not on the email system should be given a printed copy of the attached letter.
Please note, there will only be an occupational health record if an employee was referred to occupational health for: -
advice regarding sickness absence or a work-related health problem,
vaccinations for Hepatitis B,
health surveillance (e.g. hearing tests, lung function tests).
