Management Information Sheet
Data Collection Arrangements for One to One Tuition
Fred Corbett wrote to schools on 4th January giving details of the new arrangements for data entry for One to One Tuition. The LA was at that time working to develop an assessment package for those schools using the e1 management information system.
A mark sheet is now available for use within e1. This facility will enable you to track and report on the progress of pupils receiving One to One tuition and will also relieve e1 schools of the necessity of completing spreadsheets and sending tuition data as an email attachment.
The instructions for using the package are as follows:
Your data will be extracted by the LA after each half term, as an ongoing process. The deadline for this term is 11th June.
At the end of each academic year, schools will be asked to enter end of year assessments (by the 9th July at latest this year). High Schools are also asked to enter GCSE grades for the One to One cohort as and when they become available at the beginning of the autumn term.
The LA will collect end of year assessments for those pupils who received One to One in the autumn term but schools can, if they wish, enter retrospective data for all their One to One pupils so that they have accurate tracking for the whole cohort.
Further information on using mark sheets is available on:
www.eficts.norfolk.gov.uk
If you have any technical queries, please contact ICT solution on 0845 303 3003, or please contact Julia Idiens or Tim Webb with any other queries: (julia.idiens@norfolk.gov.uk / tim.webb@norfolk.gov.uk)
We hope that you will find the system easy to use and helpful in terms of tracking for this intervention group. The LA will also be able to evaluate the programme across all Norfolk schools and to track its impact upon different groups of pupils.

The instructions for using the package are as follows:
Schools import the One to One assessment package from e1 - www.eficts.norfolk.gov.uk
Schools select pupils and link to the mark sheet (other fields - gender, FSM etc. will be generated automatically)
The mark sheet contains fields for schools to enter pre-tuition levels, tutor details etc.
The LA can then retrieve the data on a termly basis
Schools can also export then copy and paste UPNs to the DCSF site (we are investigating to see whether it will be possible for the LA to do this for you in future to avoid double entry but it will not be possible for the summer term) |
