Maintaining Achieving and Extending National Healthy School Status
Maintaining Status
Those schools that have held Healthy Schools Status for 3 years or more will need to complete the new online Annual Review Tool. Other schools who have had status for a shorter period may wish to complete the tool since it gathers together evidence that links directly to the new Ofsted framework. Schools can download guidance including an example of an annotated Annual review from the Norfolk Healthy Schools web pages, www.schools.norfolk.gov.uk, select 'H' from the A-Z menu at the top of the page, then click on 'Healthy Schools', this will take you to our home page, you then need to select the 'Maintaining Healthy School Status' page, on the left hand side of the page.The Healthy Schools Team will also be running training sessions to help schools feel confident about the Annual Review on the following dates:

Extending Healthy School Status
There will be an introductory twilight on May 6th for all schools who would like to be part of the Healthy Schools Enhancement Model in September. Schools need to attend this twilight in order to understand the process and what needs to be done before September.The national Healthy Schools Enhancement Model was launched in November 2009 and Phase 1 (50 schools in Norfolk) have begun working to support local health and well-being priorities for Norfolk's Children and Young People through this approach Twilights will be held at both Norwich and West Norfolk PDC from 4:30-6:00 on May 6th.
