Question Level Analysis in RAISEonline: Enhanced Nottingham City Council ANSAT Service
Question Level Analysis allows schools to identify trends in strengths and weaknesses at different Assessment Focuses in the National Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2 Tests, and QCA Optional Tests in Years 3, 4 and 5. This is valuable information schools can use in self evaluation and school improvement planning. The analysis allows school to target intervention more specifically to the needs of particular groups of pupils and set effective whole school curricular targets.
Last year, in partnership with Nottingham City Council, many schools used the "ANSAT" (ANalysis of SATs) service which enabled these schools to make use of the powerful Question Level Analysis tools in RAISEonline to identify strengths and weaknesses by the pupil groups used by RAISEonline. Schools using the service to provide analysis of Optional Tests would also now be able to make use of the CVA Scatterplot analysis for Year 3, 4 and 5 pupils.
Following feedback from schools using Nottingham City Council's ANSAT service last year, we can now offer all Norfolk Schools an enhanced service where the Question Level Analysis data will be imported into RAISEonline remotely.
Question Level Analysis will be available in RAISEonline for all participating schools by 9am Tuesday 31st August, in readiness for use at the start of the Autumn term. Schools will not have to export or import files as this will all taken care of externally.
The service covers:
Item-level data entry for KS1, year 3 to 5 and KS2 test papers for all subjects
Preparation and Importing of Data into RAISEonline
The cost of the service to Norfolk schools is £2.15 per pupil per subject. For example a school submitting year 3 optional test papers in both English and maths for 10 pupils = 10 x (£2.15 + £2.15) = £43.00. There is a one-off courier charge of £30 per school and will cover both the pick up and return of papers. Schools can choose which subjects and year groups they would like analysed.
Key Deadlines:
Free drop in support in Question Level Analysis, using the school's data in RAISEonline will be available to all participating schools at the beginning of the Summer Term.
If you would like to make use of this service, please complete the booking form and return to Heidi Leung from Nottingham City Children and Families.
