Norfolk E-Learning Strategy and Transformation with ICT - Secondary Schools
We are delighted to attach our new Norfolk e-learning strategy. We developed this with schools and the publication follows extensive consultation. It therefore outlines our common vision for ICT and the strategy we will now take forward. As part of our commitment to secure world class ICT provision we are determined to establish a fully managed service offer in partnership with the private sector. There are a number of other priorities set out in the new strategy, some of which we are already addressing.
We set out the rationale and some of the benefits to a fully managed service last year, which can be found online. We are now taking this forward through the transformation programme.
There are two key challenges to ensure a successful outcome. These also support school improvement and it is expected that all schools address these.
We have identified a number of schools working directly with us on transformation projects (e.g. academies, BSF Schools). These schools will receive support to complete the above steps and contribute to the BSF Output Specification for Norfolk.
We are inviting all schools to contribute to this development. Please find attached is a toolkit to complete stage 1 of the process. All data from schools completing the key tasks outlined above will be taken into consideration for the Norfolk Strategy for Change. It is vital that this work is completed by July 17th 2010.
