Tour of Britain Cycle Race
On Thursday 16 September Norfolk will host the 6th stage of the Tour of Britain Cycle race from King's Lynn to Gt Yarmouth via the north Norfolk coast and Norwich. In the lead up to and on the day itself there will be a number of events and activities to celebrate the Tour coming to Norfolk.
We hope that schools will wish to become involved and to promote the benefits of the Tour a schools information pack has been prepared containing:

Curriculum ideas for Key stage 2
Road safety and safer cycling information
Profiles of some of our famous Norfolk cyclists including Olympic silver medallist Emma Pooley
Details on how to follow the tour on line and on the day.
The schools information pack can be found on the Norfolk Tour of Britain website.
From now and until the Tour in September there will be a number of events being run by the County Council's Library Service and Road Safety Team. District Council's will also be organising a range of activities. Details of these can be found on the Norfolk Tour of Britain website at www.tourofbritain.norfolk.gov.uk.
