Letters to Year 11 Students and their Parents/Carers from Lisa Christensen
Given the importance of encouraging students to consider their Post 16 choices, Lisa Christensen is writing to all Y11 students to point them towards the information, advice and guidance that is available. She is also writing to parents/carers of Y11 students. Students’ letters will be personalised and sent to their schools for distribution. Parents’ letters will be sent out by post.
Letters for students will be sent to schools week commencing 6th September for immediate distribution. Parents’ letters will be sent out at the same time. The following week, Choices booklets will be sent to schools for use with year 11s.
We would be very grateful if Headteachers would make the necessary arrangements for students’ letters to be distributed as soon as possible after their arrival in school. Careers and IAG leads will want to ensure that these letters – and the Choices booklet that will follow - are given appropriate prominence, for example in assembly, tutorials and careers events.
