School Prospectus 2011-12
The School Information (England) (Amendments) Regulations 2010 came into force on 1st September 2010. Schedule 4 of the Regulations contains the detail of the revised statutory content of the prospectus.
The amendments cover the information that must be included from the 2011-2012 academic year, so governing bodies and Headteachers have time to review their current prospectus and ensure that it is revised in line with the required date.
The following information is required to be included in the prospectus:
1. The school name and postal address, a telephone number for contact purposes, the address of the school's website (if one is maintained for the school by or on behalf of the governing body), and e-mail address for anyone wanting to contact the school by that means, and the name of the person to whom enquiries should be addressed
2. The names of the Headteacher and Chair of Governors
3. A statement of the school's ethos and values
4. A statement relating to any specialist status held by the school
5. A description of the school's particular religious character, if it has one
6. Summaries of a number of school policies, relating to:
7. Details of where further information on policies can be obtained
8. Information about where and how to find out general information about the school, including details of annual school attainment and achievement, the latest Ofsted Report and information about school open days.
