This is to inform Primary and Secondary schools of two important updates:

(2) KeyData
2010 Key Stage unvalidated data release timetable
We are pleased to announce the provisional timetable for the release of 2010 Key Stage unvalidated data.
These dates may be subject to change. If amendments are required, we will notify users at least one week in advance of the dates indicated below.
Key Stage 2 data - 9 November 2010
Key Stage 4 data - 22 November 2010
While maintaining the rigorous quality assurance of the data, some of the issues which have impacted on our timescales this year are development work around single level testing, removal of Key Stage 2 science and some schools' boycott of Key Stage 2 national curriculum testing.
The unvalidated Key Stage 2 and 4 data sets will not reflect the outcomes of requests for changes to the data that schools may submit via the Schools and Colleges Tables checking exercise (formerly known as the Achievement and Attainment Tables - AAT).
Should you have any queries, please contact the RAISEonline helpdesk at enquiries@ofsted.gov.uk.
The new KeyData is due to be in place on 1st November 2010. It retains the key information from the previous version, plus some new indicators have been added. Please use the link to "Guidance" at the top of the webpage for further information.
One major change is the use of a new indicator of deprivation - EducationACORN. Information on this new indicator is provided here.
A second major change to KeyData is planned for 1st December. This will be an additional page providing some information about the school in terms of vulnerable pupil groups.
If you have any queries relating to your figures in KeyData, please contact Dom Mingaye, Tel: 01603 222984.
If you have any general enquiries, or questions about EducationACORN, please contact Chris Jackson, Tel: 01603 224223.

(2) KeyData - Norfolk Schools' data profile
On 1st November each year the KeyData pages on the Norfolk Schools' website is updated to include another year's data. This year there are additional changes. The whole KeyData area, as with other parts of the Norfolk Schools' website, is in the process of being rebuilt using a totally new infrastructure. This is partly because of the demise of the previous system at the end of the Summer Term, and partly to provide a more secure environment (based on SQL servers rather than an Access database). The new KeyData is due to be in place on 1st November 2010. It retains the key information from the previous version, plus some new indicators have been added. Please use the link to "Guidance" at the top of the webpage for further information.
