HR Shared Service for Schools - 3 Weeks to Launch!

From the week commencing 22 November Norfolk County Council will provide schools with a new HR Service. The new Service has been developed in consultation with representatives from the Schools Forum and Norfolk Governors Network and it aims to deliver an improved service for schools.

Headteachers, Business Managers/Bursars and Chairs of Governors from Norfolk schools have been invited to one of five briefings across the County to explain what is different about the new Shared Service, how it will work and what we will be asking them to do differently to get the most out of the new arrangements.

A new website www.schoolspeoplenet.norfolk.gov.uk has been designed to replace the Schools HR Handbook. The site will provide easily accessible advice and guidance on HR matters and will be available from anywhere with an internet connection. Please use the feedback form to tell us about content that you would like added to the site.

Schools PeopleNet will contain advice and guidance for teaching staff, for managers (headteachers and governors) and for support staff. If you can't find the answer online you will be able to call HR Direct 01603 222212 or email hrdirect@norfolk.gov.uk. This is a brand new service staffed by HR professionals who can provide information, advice and guidance on day to day HR matters. If you need more help, they will put you in touch with one of the new Centres of Expertise which have been set up to provide advice and guidance on more complex issues.
