There has been a lack of clarity around the costs and notice period for ending the Norfolk Schools Broadband Service. To avoid any ambiguity, the following section will be added to the Code of Connection. This is the agreement between schools and NCC governing the use of Norfolk Schools Broadband Network service. Termination Clause

There is a one-off charge for terminating the Norfolk Schools Broadband Network service. This cost is site dependent and will be quoted for on an individual school basis. In addition to the one off-charge there is also a three month notice period for the rental of the network data link required by BT.

In order to avoid any additional costs, schools should give notice to terminate the Norfolk Schools Broadband Network service at least 4 months in advance of the intended termination date. This is to allow for the quotes to be prepared and approved by the school.
