London 2012 Ticketshare

London 2012 Ticketshare is an exciting initiative through which many thousands of young people will receive tickets to the London 2012 Games at no cost.

Tickets are funded through a levy on the Prestige Ticketing London 2012 hospitality packages through the Prestige Ticketing programme.

Up to 100 000 London 2012 Ticketshare tickets will be distributed to children and young people in schools and colleges across the UK through the London 2012 education programme, Get Set. 50 000 of these tickets will go to schools and colleges in London, and 50 000 will go to schools and colleges across the rest of the UK.

In partnership with the London 2012 Organising Committee, the Mayor of London will provide up to 75 000 additional tickets for young Londoners, and these will be distributed through the Get Set network too.

How do schools and colleges get tickets?

To claim their allocation of tickets, schools and colleges must be registered with Get Set, the official london education programme and part of the Get Set network by 16 December 2011.

Schools/colleges can apply to join the Get Set network by visiting the Your Space section of the Get Set website (www.london2012.com/getset) or by completing an offline version of the Get Set network application form.

Why become a Network School?

Only schools that are part of the Get Set Network are eligible for Ticketshare.

The project aims to demonstrate the effectiveness of creative aproaches to behavioural change.
