If there are more nominations than vacancies an election will be held details of which will be posted on e-courier on 4th November 2011 and via the NGN website and NGN News. The closing date for voting will be 16th December 2011.

Further Information

The Norfolk Schools Forum is an important statutory body which makes decisions on certain school funding issues and, at times, must be consulted by the Local Authority on other funding decisions. It is vital that governors are fully represented on this influential body.
The Norfolk Schools Forum meets around seven times throughout the year; the meetings are in the Norwich area and may be in the morning or the afternoon. They will usually be held at South Green Park, Mattishall. It must be stressed that governors who take on this role must be available to attend meetings which take place during the working day. If governor representatives are unable to attend they must contact the clerk of the NGN to arrange for a substitute to attend.

The term of office for governor representatives is four years from 1st January 2012.

The rules for electing governors to the Norfolk Schools Forum can be found on the NGN website - click on Schools Forum under Partner Organisations. These have been reviewed and revised to reflect current constitution and responsibilities of the Schools Forum.

If you would like to talk to a primary governor who is a current member of the Schools Forum please contact Carole Green, email: carole.green@ngn.org.uk or Mike Grimble, email: mike.grimble@ngn.org.uk

We look forward to receiving your nominations.
