Budget Planner and Star Accounts Information

Following developments with the budget planner software for the new budget setting period, 2012/13, please ensure that Microsoft Access is installed on the computer that will be used when setting the schools budget.
If this is the same machine that Star Accounts is installed on, then Access will already be available.

Transferring the budget planner from Excel to Access will enable schools to monitor their staffing costs in more detail. For schools to gain the maximum functionality from this it is advised that all staff are set up in the Staff Details screen of Star Accounts with their correct assignment number, FTE and position.

For schools that have purchased an enhanced SLA, please be aware that your Finance Support Officer will NOT have the capacity to set these details up when conducting your budget setting visit.
