Resources: Preventing the Spread of Infection in Schools
The Director of Public Health for Norfolk and Waveney is offering schools a 'communications toolkit' to help reduce the spread of common infections such as flu, tummy bugs, sickness and diarrhoea. These will help relay difficult messages about keeping children off when they are sick and likely to be infectious because they come directly from the DpH rather than from the school.
Her letter to all Head Teachers explaining more can be read at Letter to Schools - Preventing the Spread of Infection in Schools
Suggested letters to parents, copy for newsletters / websites and school lesson resources can be found at www.norfolk.nhs.uk/germbusters or at www.gywpct.nhs.uk. Look for the section called "Resources For Schools". In addition there are other sections containing a wide range of leaflets, films and posters which schools and parents may find helpful.
