Management Information Sheet
Open Schools East
There is much innovative and effective practice in schools in our region. We also know that school leaders are very interested to find new and cost effective ways to share such approaches for improvement with one another.
Therefore, we are planning to create, collate and disseminate a range of case-studies which will focus on examples of effective practice in specific areas (such as pedagogical approaches, pupil voice, parental engagement, use of Teaching Assistants, leadership and management etc) which contribute to whole school improvement. These brief case studies will facilitate a series of professional development visits within our local authorities and across the region.
To launch the project we are organising an open-school fortnight from 25th June 2012 to 7th July 2012, which will allow head teachers and other colleagues to visit schools across the region. These professional development opportunities will enable participants to see the practice outlined in the case studies in action. It is envisaged that this would facilitate professional learning that leads to improved outcomes for pupils and students.
We are looking to facilitate and broker both the sharing of case studies and professional development visits through an easy to use regional website.
Your school could contribute to this exciting project by sharing a case study and later hosting a visit for colleagues from across the region. You may have aspects of highly effective or outstanding practice, which have been highlighted by an external agency such as Ofsted or through a quality mark.
We have attached a simple case study proforma and some guidance materials & a template to this MI Sheet. We would be delighted to receive your contribution ideally by the end of March.
If you need further information, please get in touch with us:

We look forward to hearing from you.
