Delegation of Designated Schools Grant and Traded EPSS Service - your school's views please!
We would like to invite every county headteacher, SENCO and school governor to complete our special short survey about the forthcoming changes to County Council additional needs services.
With virtually all of the funding for special educational needs (SEN) about to be delegated to schools and clusters, your views on how this will impact on your own establishment are vital.
The following link will take you straight to the online survey, which should take no more than 15 minutes to complete.
By doing this, you will be helping to shape models of future provision, which Children's Services will put to the Schools' Forum in the autumn term for consultation. We particularly need to establish whether a proportion of the budget should be retained centrally to provide specialist countywide functions. Crucially we must also consider how to develop and operate the EPSS as a 'traded' service with schools.
