With National Apprenticeships Week almost upon us we would like to inform you of the activities that are happening in Norfolk.
Look out for Norfolk County Council's 'Backing Apprenticeships' identity which will be used in our media campaign throughout National Apprenticeships Week and beyond to emphasise the amount of support for apprenticeships in the County.
To 'kick off' the week on Saturday 9 March, 10 nominated apprentices will be attending the Norwich v Southampton football match for free, courtesy of Norfolk County Council.
During the week beginning Monday 11 March Norfolk County Council will be visiting market towns focussing on business parks and areas of high concentrations of businesses using a promotional bus, where businesses will be given the opportunity to come onto the bus and find out more about the benefits of employing an apprentice.
On Thursday 14 March, there will be Open For Business events where Engineering and Energy businesses in different areas will be opening their doors to the public so that young people/parents/carers/new employers /teachers/IAG professionals can find out more about the business and the skills that are required. Employers are being encouraged to explain their business and careers opportunities in these sectors. All are welcome but if there are 5 or more wishing to attend these events could you please let marion.nobbs@norfolk.gov.uk know so the employers can be made aware. Details of locations will be on our website by the end of this week.
