Fire Extinguishing Service
ESPO in collaboration with Kent CC, and Pro 5 have carried out a tender exercise for the servicing, and supply of fire extinguishers. Abbey Fire UK Ltd have been selected, as they offer the most competitive fully inclusive service package. This closely matches the current Chubb package.
This means that for 1 price per extinguisher you get an annual service, refills as required, except for discharge due to mis-use, and very few other charges. We cannot enforce contract use by schools, but the following represent good value, and are a fully compliant EU contract.
Any school wishing to participate in this contract and needing to arrange their own fire extinguisher servicing should contact Abbey Fire UK Ltd. as per the attached details.
Chubb have been instructed not to carry out any more servicing after 1 April 2013, as they no longer hold the contract.
It’s important that schools who do not participate in the NPS property management scheme should not allow the annual servicing of their fire extinguishers to lapse.
