Open Schools East - Re-launch of Open Schools East
Open Schools East Fortnight (3rd -14th June)
Schools in the Eastern Region have a new way to share effective and innovative practice.
Open Schools East showcases examples of effective practice to facilitate school to school support. Schools in Cambridgeshire, Central Bedfordshire, Norfolk and Suffolk have created case studies of their good school improvement practice, detailing impact and where possible external accreditation. These case studies will generate opportunities for school leaders and others to learn with and from each other through focused visits across the East.
The central feature of this project is an interactive website www.openschoolseast.org which not only allows colleagues to find case studies but also to book focused visits for professional development. Schools featured on this site have kindly agreed to open their doors to other colleagues in the region to showcase their practice. This (free) programme is being re-launched with Open Schools East Fortnight to facilitate first hand professional development and sharing of good practice.
To book a visit - find a case study using the search facility and select your preferred date. Several schools are also ‘open’ all year round and so please make contact to select the most convenient dates for you and your staff.
There is a range of schools covering all phases of education and different types of settings represented on this site. When considering a visit you may wish to confirm school characteristics, so that the context meets your requirements. To share your own effective practice and join the project, please email sebastian.gasse@norfolk.gov.uk for further details.
