Management Information Sheet
Volunteers for the Critical Incident Team required
The Critical Incident Team is currently supporting schools and academies in a Critical Incident. A Critical Incident is defined as ‘an event or events, often sudden, which involve the experience of significant personal distress to a level which potentially overwhelms normal responses, procedures and coping strategies and which is likely to have emotional and organisational consequences’.
Due to the restructure of the Educational Psychology Service we are looking for additional team members, who are employed by Children’s Services/Local Authority School, and have experience in working with children, young people and adults who are affected by traumatic or sad events.
Your school will receive a financial contribution for the time they release you to undertake Critical Incident Work.
If you would like some further information, please email me: bianca.finger-berry@norfolk.gov.uk.
You will need the agreement of your manager before you can join the team. Training and induction will be available for all new staff.
