The Youth Inclusion and Support Programme
The Youth Inclusion and Support Programme or YISP is the 'brand-name' for early intervention activity within Norfolk Youth Offending Team NYOT. They work with children and young people and their families referred by a wide range of agencies because they are deemed at risk of involvement in offending or anti-social behaviour. Norfolk Youth Offending Team has a statutory duty to 'prevent offending and re-offending by children and young people'. They are in the process of aligning their work with that of others actively working on the delivery of Early Help and as part of this the age range for referral has been extended to 8 - 16 years.
Should you find yourself discussing prevention activities with any family or agencies please make or encourage referrals to YISP.
