Pupil premium 2013-2014 data download
The Department for Education (DfE) have produced a new Pupil Premium data download which is now available to schools on the Key to Success website.
In February 2012 the DfE provided schools and LAs with a download of Free School Meal (FSM) eligibility. This was intended as a one-off exercise, however, this year the DfE has decided to produce another download showing FSM Ever 6 and Service Child Ever 3 pupils included in the allocations for the Deprivation and Service Child components of the Pupil Premium for the financial year 2013-2014.
Schools will be able to download a csv file showing details of the pupils included in their allocations and be able to search by Unique Pupil Number (UPN) for pupils joining their school to determine if they were included in an allocation for the current financial year.
This download will allow schools to reconcile their allocations and be better able to target the Pupil Premium funding at their deprived cohort of pupils. A guide on the use of the download is available on the school census 2013 page at: http://media.education.gov.uk/assets/files/pdf/p/fsm%202013%20download%20guide.pdf
The Key to Success website is accessed through Secure Access. If you haven't already activated your Secure Access account instructions and guidance can be found here: http://www.education.gov.uk/researchandstatistics/datatdatam/secureaccess/a00216243/secure-access-login-instructions
Please note that the Secure Access system is maintained by the DfE so the LA will be unable to provide login details. If you require help with Secure Access you will need to complete a Secure Access Service Request form. The DfE aim to fulfil all requests within five working days.
