EFA School Capacity Return
As you may be aware, the Education Funding Agency (EFA) on behalf of the Department for Education (DfE), is carrying out the annual collection of school capacity and planning data for 2013, known as SCAP. Local Authorities require data from academies and free schools to complete the return. You should already have been advised of this via the EFA bulletin - see this link.
The scope and scale of the data return has changed significantly in the last couple of years and we are now required to collate and return the details of all schools including academies and free schools as part of this process.
We will need to confirm that we are currently holding (a) the correct capacity details for your school, and (b) the correct admission numbers. This year the EFA have also asked us to return a published admission number for each national curriculum year group active in the school.
In addition to the school capacity details, local authorities are required to provide details of any capital expenditure of Basic Need funding at any school, including academies. I can confirm that Norfolk has this information and will supply it in the return.
The attached tables will need to be provided for all Academies and Free Schools in Norfolk. Please can you provide the details as they relate to your school via email to chris.harrison@norfolk.gov.uk
