Business with car parking facilities have been approached by offers of car park repairs and line marking by persons claiming to be working for Northern Road Markings and currently working for Norfolk County Council. Offers are made to carry out repairs to the tarmac and/or to re-fresh the line markings on the car park.

This business does not work for Norfolk County Council or May Gurney, who carries out this function on behalf of Norfolk County Council.

Businesses and their staff should be very wary of any approach of unsolicited offers to carry out work. Any work carried out could be of very poor quality, over-charging and misleading pricing often occurs. After the work is completed the trader often disappears and is unable to be contacted for any rectification of shoddy work, which often needs to be taken up and repaired at greater expense.
