NIEAS Services 2014 to support schools with new National Curriculum
Making the most of school closure days in 2014
Many schools are keen to review their current curriculum provision in readiness for September 2014 onwards. As a consequence, NIEAS is experiencing high demand for advice and support from specialist education advisers and associates around designing and implementing the new primary National Curriculum.
To meet this demand NIEAS is offering a Grand Curriculum Designs 2014 Programme - inform, inspire, innovate for primary schools of all types and sizes.
The offer for schools or groups of schools is to participate in up to three full day CPD opportunities on the most popular school closure days in 2014.
The programme offers a range of different activities, such as hearing directly from subject specialists and outstanding schools to school and cluster based workshops.
This approach is to enable as many schools as possible to:
- receive up to date, expert advice and support
- learn about and understand the key principles and processes of whole school and subject specific curriculum desig n
- consider the benefits and challenges of innovative curriculum design for all learners
- work together, network and collaborate with other schools
- hear from school practitioners who have already developed an outstanding curriculum
There are three themes to the Grand Curriculum Design Programme: Inform, Inspire and Innovate.
Day 1 - 22 April 2014
Information Event - for teachers and subject leaders.
Day 2 - 26 June 2014
