Updated Model School Health and Safety Policy and County Council Safety Policy Statement
Norfolk County Council's health and safety policy statement 'Our Commitments' has been updated and signed off by the Acting Chief Executive and the Council Leader.
The Model School Health and Safety Policy has also been updated to align with 'Our Commitments'. The model policy now includes responsibilities for the Lead Governor for health and safety. It should be reviewed at least every two years.
Health and Safety Management System Guidance for Headteachers and Line Managers (G611) has also been updated to align with the above. This short step by step guide assists headteachers/managers to understand NCC's health and safety management system and their role in managing health and safety in schools.
