As part of our new partnership with Microsoft, NIEAS will be hosting an Easter Teacher Tech Camp. The event will be held at the Norwich Professional Development Centre on 7 and 8 April 2014.

What will be covered during the two days?

Some of the things we will focus on:

• Looking at software in a different way - What is the impact on learning
• The Partners in Learning Network
• The most dangerous software in the World!
• Windows 8, OneNote and Office 365
• The computing curriculum is coming - Are you ready? Kodu across the curriculum
• New Tools for Learning

I am not an ICT/Computing teacher, is it worth me coming?

Yes, most definitely, we are looking for classroom innovators in learning, rather than techie whizz kids. This event is targeted at those teachers in Norfolk interested in teaching and learning, and how technology can support that, rather than the technology itself. This event is for teachers in primary school settings.

What will I need to bring?

We expect you to bring a laptop running Windows Vista, Windows 7 or 8

How much will it cost?

As this is our first Teacher Tech Camp, we are only charging £40 per teacher for the two days. This will include lunch and refreshments on both days.

So if you have time this Easter, perhaps your plans for other events and holidays have not materialised and you still want to spend time with other innovative educators, then this is an ideal event for you.

There are only 30 places available. Demand is expected to be high, so the sooner you apply, the higher the chance you will have of securing a place.
