National pay negotiations - National Joint Conditions for Local Government Services (Green Book) pay 2014/15

We understand that on 18 March UNISON wrote to all non-Community schools (Foundation, Church Aided, Academy, etc) asking them "to increase NJC employees' pay by a minimum of £1 an hour" and that if they don't then "a trade dispute will exist between UNISON members and the school".

The Trade Union's side submitted the same request as part of the national negotiations for the 2014/15 pay award for Green Book staff. Negotiations continue and the UNISON letter predates the latest national pay offer which the Trade Union side is currently considering.

Advice to Foundation, Academy and Church Aided schools

We advise waiting for the outcome of the national negotiations before making any decisions.

For schools that buy an HR service from Norfolk County Council, further updates will be provided as national negotiations continue - keep an eye on Schools PeopleNet's Latest news and HR Insight. You can also contact HR Direct with any other queries on 01603 222212 or HRDirect@norfolk.gov.uk.

Schools that buy an HR service from other providers will need to access that route for further information.
