Dear colleagues

We've been notified that Ofsted will inspect the LA's arrangements for supporting school improvement next week. The team will be led by Robert Pyner, HMI. This is the expected re-inspection following Inspectors' visits one year ago.

The inspection is specifically of the LA's arrangements including how all schools and other learning providers work together to give the best possible education for all of Norfolk's children and young people. Some Head teachers and Governors will be asked to meet Inspectors. The purpose of such meetings is to help Inspectors understand about the whole Norfolk education 'system'. Inspectors will not be investigating the work of individual schools.

Katherine Attwell is coordinating the programme and will be in touch if necessary. If you are involved in inspection activity next week, many thanks for your help. News of the outcome of the inspection should be available towards the end of term.
