Booktime - free book packs for all Reception children
Booktime – book-gifting programme for reception children from the BookTrust
Norfolk is again participating in this gifting programme – all infant and primary schools will receive an allocation of Booktime packs between October and December for distribution to children in Reception classes.
One of the books in the pack for 2014 is Hairy Maclary from Donaldson’s Dairy by Lynley Dodd.
The pack provides the ideal opportunity to encourage reception age children and their families to find out more about the great range of services from the library. Some libraries may be able to host reception class visits – to find out more about visits to the library and / or to request library information and joining forms that can be included in packs please contact your local library.
The School Library Service is also supporting the gifting programme, with story sessions in schools. There are charges for SLS services, get in touch by email or call on 01603 222265 to discuss.
