Services for Schools

From this weekend SLA Online will replace the existing Services 4 Schools contract renewal process and SDMS course booking system. The new system will allow schools to renew contracts, view alternative products, purchase ad hoc services through a shopping basket, arrange appointments with service providers, browse and search through all training and development courses, book spaces for staff on courses.

On the 29th January school leaders and other staff who have already registered were sent an email giving logon details for SLA Online,. If you have not received a logon can you please email s4s@norfolk.gov.uk and we will provide you with the necessary details.

Training courses that are currently booked through SDMS will only be available through SLA Online from 1st February. Also from 16th February you will be able to see all existing annual contracts due for renewal in April. Any course bookings already made through SDMS for NIEAS courses have been transferred to the new system. Please take a moment to check the information is correct before checking out of the basket.

Although each school can set up new users on the system as well as edit each user’s permissions we will in the next couple of weeks send out a template spreadsheet, giving you the opportunity to provide us with your school’s staff information for us to upload on your behalf. We see this as an easy way to add those staff or governors in schools that do not subscribe to Norfolk Governor Services who you are likely to book on training courses. You will be able to determine whether you want them set up as Users or Delegates. Users will have a logon to SLA Online and can browse the system and add training events to the school’s shopping basket, for subsequent approval. Delegates will not have a logon, but can be selected by yourself or your CPD coordinator for booking onto training events.

We are delighted that over 300 school representatives attended the briefing sessions and are encouraged by the positive feedback. We welcome your comments and are here to help you adjust to the new system. Please feel free to contact us.

Finally we are asking you to:

  1. Email s4s@norfolk.gov.uk if you have not received logon details
  2. Check out any courses showing in your shopping basket
  3. February look out for a template spreadsheet and populate with staff details for uploading onto SLA Online
  4. Renew annual contracts from 16 February.
