Norfolk CAMHS Self Harm Contact Information
There is a large amount of work being done in Norfolk to support young people who self-harm, have suicidal thoughts, or are suffering from other mental health issues.
It may be the case that you have support packages in place in school for such children, but we thought it helpful to provide a reminder of the CAHMS support that is available in Norfolk, as well as details of other organisations, especially as schools are closed during February half-term.
Attached are details about Norfolk CAMHS service provision with telephone contact numbers, which we hope you find helpful.
We have also provided details below of organisations who can provide advice, guidance and support for young people who you believe are, or may be at risk of, self-harming. Some of those organisations produce posters and downloadable leaflets for young people, parents, and professionals. If you have not already, perhaps you may wish to display these in your school or academy, and/or make them available online?
It is also important to acknowledge that supporting young people with self-harm issues can have an impact on staff involved, and it is important that they are supported also. You may wish to remind staff about the counselling services that your school/academy provides for your staff.
