Services 4 Schools Update 2015-16

Your school’s Services 4 Schools 2015-16 contracts are now available on our new SLA Online system. Use the system to see what Norfolk County Council and its partners can offer your school from annual subscription packages and ad-hoc purchases to training courses.

If you are experiencing problems logging into the new system, please e-mail us at S4S@norfolk.gov.uk.

SLS Tokens & EPSS Days

Schools will notice that having returned from the Half Term break, the S4S Team has populated your Shopping Basket with the number of School Library Service Tokens and Education Psychology Specialist Support days that were purchased in 2014-15.

We hope that you find this useful in making your 2015-16 purchasing decisions. If you wish to amend the quantities placed in the basket, please delete and use the “Quick Buy Form” to re-populate.

Annual rolling contracts

Once you have logged into the system, you can view products to purchase by navigating to the Quick Buy Form from the Services tab, located on the green bar at the top the screen.

Service Withdrawal

Norfolk County Services (NCS) has withdrawn their Caretaking and Cleaning subscription service from the S4S system this year. Schools still requiring this service should contact NCS direct.

Education Performance Analysis System (EPAS) has been withdrawn from the S4S contract.

New Packages for 2015-16

Building Maintenance Partnership Full Scheme 2015-2020

  • The existing multi year partnership arrangement comes to end this March. This series of partnership arrangements have in the past proved popular with schools, but it is still important to read the prospectus document, especially if you have a swimming pool.

Building Maintenance Partnership Compliance Only Scheme 2015-2020

  • In addition, NPS is also offering a compliance only package that helps schools manage delegated repairs, maintenance and statutory responsibilities.

Tree Management

  • Norfolk County Services (Norse) are offering two new 2yr options based on the number of trees on your school site.

Asset Register Software Module Subscription

  • An additional Star Accounts system module is now available to complete school inventories. If you were part of the pilot, you should have this option already ticked.

Norfolk Rewards

  • Norfolk Rewards is an online savings platform which gives eligible employees the opportunity to save on goods and services, online and in store.

Cluster Governance Subscription Offer

  • The cost of this package is normally £500 per cluster per annum, however, funding has been secured to support this new package until March 2016, so this year there is no charge.

Protech + two days per week

  • This is a new option for 2015-16 and adds another option to the list of Protech options already available (ICT technical support engineers).

The contract process

Placing items in the basket

  • Please note that annual rolling packages that have been purchased this year (2014-15) will have the equivalent 2015-16 offer shown on the Quick Buy Form with a circled letter “S” beside them and pre-ticked for your convenience. To remove all these ticks on the form, un-tick the “Show Suggested Items” box located top right on the screen. Please note: when ticking (adding) items (other than Suggested), the user should ensure these are added to the basket, otherwise the tick will not appear the next time you view the Quick Buy Form which will retain the original suggestions.

Cancelling an annual rolling contract

  • To cancel an existing rolling contract, go to “Services”, then “Manage Services” and select the “Contracts Report”. Use the filter function to list “Rolling Contracts”, click “view” beside the contract you wish to cancel, then use the “Opt Out” feature and always remember to click the “Save” button. Please ensure amendments have been completed before the end of March as your contract will roll forward on 1st April.

Upgrading/downgrading a package

  • If you have an annual rolling contract at the moment and wish to change to a different level of support, it’s a good idea to cancel your existing contract and then select your new choice from the “Quick Buy Form” (described above).
  • Package Name Changes

    Short Stay School for Norfolk

    • The subscription service package has been renamed Child Support Team Membership.

    Financial Services

    • “Additional Star Accounts datafile” has been renamed “Community Package Level 1” for both schools and clusters.
    • “Cluster Package inc. 2 visits” has been renamed “Community Package Level 2” for both schools and clusters.
    • “Cluster Package inc. 4 visits” has been renamed “Community Package Level 3” for both schools and clusters.

    School Federations

Federations taking part this year in the finance single budget code roll out, please note that Building Maintenance Partnership and Sickness Insurance Scheme options must be purchased at federation level (these options are not available to the individual schools with the federation).

Designated staff can have the ability to sign to both school and federation accounts. If you are experiencing problems logging into the new system, please e-mail us at mailto:S4S@norfolk.gov.uk.
