Understanding and Improving the Health and Wellbeing of Your Students - Collecting Reliable Data
NCC has commissioned the national Schools and Students Health Education Unit (SHEU) to deliver the Health Related Behaviour Survey in a selection of schools across Norfolk in June/July this year, to years 6, 8, 10 and 12, and then again in 2017 and 2019. It will be free for schools to participate.
Every question in the Health Related Behaviour Survey (HRBS) is focused on the needs of the individual child within the school. Each participating school will receive a free personalised report on the data, comparing their school with the rest of the county. This report will be invaluable to senior leaders for future planning and for providing evidence to Ofsted.
There is still an opportunity for more schools to take advantage of this opportunity but expressions of interest must be received by Friday 5th June 2015. To discuss what is involved in more details telephone Carolyn Watts on 07824 528990.
The topics to be covered include: Smoking, Drugs, Alcohol, Emotional wellbeing, mental health, Relationships, Resilience, Accidents, Attendance, Youth offending, and Community Cohesion. DRAFT surveys are attached to this MI sheet.
