In September 2015 Perspective Lite was launched for all Norfolk schools and academies. Every Headteacher was sent a username and an initial password to access their new Perspective Lite account at www.perspective.angelsolutions.co.uk. Perspective Lite is a secure online portal for the purpose of:

• Secure document exchange between the Education Achievement Service and schools and academies, for example risk category letters
• Document store and audit trail of exchanged documents
• Secure exchange of sensitive Looked After Children information
• Secure exchange of records of visits between Children's Services and other LA partners in Education and schools
• Secure data returns between schools and the Education Achievement Service, for example projected target outcomes
• News and updates
• Early view of emerging LA and national results in the summer
• Checking of early provisional reports showing end of key stage data submitted to the Local Authority before the data is submitted to the DfE

The benefits of using Perspective Lite are continually increasing, and it has become evident that having just one secure user-account in each school may not be adequate. Many schools have purchased the full version of Perspective, which is a powerful tool providing a number of additional modules including: School and Departmental Self Evaluation/Planning; Performance Management; Professional Standards; Lesson Observations; ability to create multiple user-accounts for staff members.

For schools that have not purchased the full version of Perspective, the Education Achievement Service has purchased a second user-account for each school to make the above services from the LA more accessible.

The second school user-account for Perspective Lite, like the Headteacher's user-account, will be linked to a specific email address. This could be the email address of a School Administrator, a Data Manager, an Executive Head, or any other appropriate person with a responsible role in the school.

The way to set up your second user-account is for the Headteacher to log onto Perspective Lite and go to Surveys > Data Returns and then click on the Data Return titled "Additional user-account for Perspective Lite" and enter the forename, surname, role and email address of your chosen designated person to have this access. Once you have submitted these details, please advise the designated person that they will receive an email providing user-account details within two weeks. We would like all schools without full Perspective to follow the above steps to request a second user-account by the end of this term, so that from the beginning of next term all schools will have more than one user-account for Perspective Lite. (However, the option will still be available in January for those who miss the 18th December deadline.)

Finally, please check that your email address in Perspective Lite is correct, if it has changed you will not receive any automated alerts. To update your email address, log into Perspective Lite, navigate to your user details by clicking on the middle icon at the top right of the screen (head-and-shoulders icon) > Go to My Account, amend your email address as necessary, and then click Save.
