Management Information Sheet
School 2 School Support
Just a reminder for those new to county or unsure of what S2S Support is:
A support service offered by the consortium of Norfolk Complex needs Schools (Trust Norfolk-SEN) to support school staff and learners to develop a climate of opportunity and success for all. We offer:
- Hands on practical advice and support to help improve outcomes for pupils
- Visits to your setting by an experienced member of staff from a Complex Needs School
- Training, Observations, Resource Creation, Signposting and much more.
Further to our most recent MI Sheet (11/16) this is just to clarify a few points in connection with the move to a traded service. With effect from 1st April 2016:
- The new traded service will continue to deliver the high quality support it has done so over the past 4 years
- Schools will not be able to make individual or whole school referrals via www.s2ssupport.co.uk. The service will move to work closely with those schools that have purchased our new service.
- To be able to gain access/support from S2S Support, schools and/or clusters (including MATs, Partnerships and Federations) will need to have purchased either a cluster package or individual school package as detailed on our website and on the Services 4 Schools website.
- As customers, you are able to buy into the service as and when you want. However any purchases made after 1st April 2016 do run the risk of being turned down if capacity is not available within the system. This is not meant to try and force you into buying a service before 1st April, but we wanted to make sure schools were aware of this. Of course we will do our best to honour all new sign-ups after 1st April 2016.
- S2S Support is working closely with Norfolk County Council and is therefore a stage of support that the county would expect engagement with before an EHCP process is undertaken as a key component of a core offer at School support stage.
- S2S Support can only be purchased via the Service for Schools website (www.s4s.norfolk.gov.uk). If you have any problems accessing or navigating this site please contact Matthew Smith on 01263 820520 or email admin@s2ssupport.co.uk for more information.
