New staffing structure for Norfolk Governance and Leadership Service (NGLS)

I am writing to update you about the new staffing structure for Norfolk Governance and Leadership Service (NGLS), which sits within the new enterprise Educator Solutions and how we will be organised to work with schools, academies and their governing boards in the future.

Educator Solutions, recently known as Services 4 Schools (S4S) is a not-for-profit trading enterprise, is wholly owned by Norfolk County Council and has built on a long history of experience in the education sector. It brings together expertise from staff from Norfolk Integrated Education Advisory Services (NIEAS), Schools HR and Finance, academy groups and other providers focussed on services for the wider education sector.

By providing good quality and value for money this ensures that together we can help improve the education experiences and opportunities for their learners and contribute to the shared ambition for there to be "A Good Education for Every Norfolk Learner".

The new NGLS structure is based on geographical areas which are aligned to the Norfolk districts. A Governance Support and Development Officer (GSDO) has been allocated to each area and will be your dedicated point of contact for any queries you have about governance in your school or academy.

To help, the table below gives the contact details of each GSDO along with the area they are responsible for;

Norwich Gary Hewitt 01603 307793
Broadland and North Norfolk Tina Brown 01603 303357
Great Yarmouth David Amis 01603 307734
South Norfolk Jo Dunham 01603 303361
Breckland David Allen 01603 303326
Kings Lynn & West Norfolk Suzanne Walker 01603 303359

As is now, GSDOs are able to offer support and advice on a wide range of governance topics, for both schools and academies who subscribe to our service. This is in addition to providing comprehensive training, including in school sessions, attending site meetings and a variety of other key support services.

If you do not subscribe to our service and would like further information, please contact the GSDO for your area who will be happy to talk through your requirements.

I hope you find this information helpful but if you have any queries please contact us on one of the above numbers.

We very much look forward to working with you in the future.

Helen Wardale
Head of Norfolk Governance and Leadership Service
