I am writing to let you know that Chris Snudden, currently Head of the Education Achievement Service, will become Assistant Director, Education, for the period 1 August 2016 to 31 July 2017. I am grateful to Chris for agreeing to undertake this significant role that she will take on following Gordon Boyd’s departure at the end of July.

Chris brings a wide range of experience having worked in every phase of education. For several years she taught in a large 11-18 secondary school and then moved into post 16 and adult basic education. Leading the Family Learning National Demonstration Programme, she worked with 0 - 7 year olds and their parents.

Chris joined the Norfolk Education Advisory Service to lead the primary, and for a time secondary National Strategies in Norfolk. During this time she was the primary and secondary English Adviser and also a secondary and post 16 Ofsted inspector. Following re-structuring of education services in 2013, Chris’ role as Head of the Norfolk Education Achievement Service has ensured that she has worked at the heart of the Norfolk Strategy to achieve 'A Good Education for Every Norfolk Learner'.
