2016/17 charges for school admissions appeals and exclusion reviews
Academies and Free Schools
Norfolk County Council can provide you with an independent service for the administration of school admission appeals and exclusion reviews. The service is now included in the Educator Solutions portal (SLA Online).
Last year we advised that the sliding scale of charges would be gradually increased over 2 years. From 1 September 2016 they will be as follows.

Exclusion review
Our charge for an exclusion review for the school year 2016/17 will be £250.

Terms:
- If an appellant withdraws, a charge of £50 will be made in all cases. The full charge will be made unless notification is received 5 working days before the appeal.
- If an Academy wishes to choose a different venue from the one proposed by Democratic Services, there may be an additional charge.
- If a translator is required, the full cost will be re-charged.
- The associated costs of appointing an SEN expert for an exclusion review will be re-charged in full (this may include any legal costs and expenses reasonably incurred as a result of any decision or actions connected to the review that are taken in good faith).
