Academy Representative Norfolk Schools Forum
Academy Membership on the Norfolk Schools Forum
Changes to membership of the Norfolk Schools Forum requires the appointment of an additional Academy member to keep the membership in line with pupil numbers. Academy members must be elected by the proprietor body of the academies in the local area.
Background
The Norfolk Schools Forum is an important statutory body which makes decisions on certain school funding issues and, at times, must be consulted by the Local Authority on other funding decisions.
Changes to the make-up of Norfolk schools see an increase in Academy membership. The elected members will be in post from 15 March 2017.
The overseeing of the election of academy members has been delegated to Norfolk County Council.
All Academy Trusts or Academies where they are not part of a Trust are entitled to put forward a candidate for the election and nomination papers have been emailed out this week. If you have not received your nomination paper please email marilyn.edgeley@norfolk.gov.uk.
The closing date for nominations is 24 February 2017.
