Following public consultation on proposals to balance Norfolk County Council’s budget – focussing available funding on specific areas of the service which make most impact- our elected Members decided to not extend or re-commission the Family Intervention Project. In line with this decision, funding for the Youth Mediation element of the contract will also end on the 31st March 2017.

As a result, the service delivered by Stonham (Home Group) will close on the 31st March 2017, at the end of its current contract term.

In preparation for the closure, no new referrals have been accepted from 1st January 2017. All young people currently receiving support will continue to do so until contract end or sooner if applicable. This will allow the contract to close on the 31/03/2017 with no active cases.

Between 1st January and 31st March 2017 Stonham will, wherever possible, offer advice to referring agencies about alternative support services. Alternatively, professionals and families can call the Norfolk County Council Customer Service Centre on 0344 800 8020 for enquires or to be directed to other available services.

Stonham would like to thank all of their partners, stakeholders and colleagues who have supported them to deliver youth mediation in Norfolk over the last three years. Together they have supported many hundreds of young people across Norfolk to achieve fantastic outcomes and lasting change.
